Starting Over

As most of you know, for the past 3 years I have been trying to figure out how to generate income utilizing internet marketing. I formed MAS Global Enterprises LLC  and incorporated in Nevada to give myself a tax shelter (or so I thought) and protect my personal assets.  I have spent the last 3 years studying all the different ways to make money online and have been very dissappointed with the results. Although I have learned more than I could possibly have imagined during that time, much of my new knowledge has been wasted. Why?… because in the game of internet marketing, the rules are constantly being changed by the ones making the most money to ensure that the rest of us don’t take away their profits. I’m of course talking about Google. It seems like every time someone comes up with an idea for increasing their page ranking, Google changes their algorithm to make the idea tank. Back in early May, I had seven websites ranking on the first page in the Google search engine. Then they pulled a switch and now I’ve only got one. (sigh…)  In the meantime, companies I had been doing business with had started to go under due to the bad economy. To make a long story short, MAS Global Enterprises LLC  could not survive.

So,… I took what I learned from my first experience as a business owner and decided to start over again and do it right. Today I started the ball rolling on a new business endeavor. I’ve enlisted the help of my brother this time and we’ve come up with some fun and creative ideas about how to put us both in a win-win situation. I feel much more confident this time around since I’ve already discovered where the biggest pitfalls are when starting a business.  This time around I’m working with a much larger and more well known legal/financial organization (Nevada State Corporate Network). If they can fund Bill Gates, Pepsi, and Boeing  (to name a few)  I guess they’ll be capable of handling my new company.

Speaking of which, my new company now has a name;  Web 5 Marketing LLC.  Jim thought it was “very impressive”. (inside joke)  I learned the first time around that having a long name for your company is a pain. It means the URL, email address, and references to the company when blogging all take longer to type!  So this time I kept it as short as I could, making sure the URL was available. The focus this time will be much more concentrated on quality rather than quantity. There will be just a few websites, but many more inbound and outbound links to related blogs and high ranking websites. I will also be using my connections at Worldwide Brands and Seneca Data to promote their products and services.

Bottom line:  I’m excited about this new venture and I ask for your prayers as I do my best to conduct my affairs in a way that is pleasing to God and helpful to my customers. Thanks, and have an awesome day!
